What specific challenges make it difficult for you to participate in school activities or engage with your child's education? -Jobs, not being able to get off work in time. Transportation, many households only have one vehicle so it is hard to get to school activities because of their lack of transportation. Some parents listed limited child care for their other children as a reason why they are not more involved. Which types of school-based services would most benefit your child? -Most parents think that a tutor would benefit their child's academic success while teachers believe that parents that are willing to sit down at night and help their children study would benefit the kids. Also, most parents do believe that some type of extracurricular activity would benefit their child's development.
