Discussion Post: NTCC PROJECT
The case studies in this unit dealing with Devium Dash, EnerChi Bites, and Think Board detail the considerations required when launching a crowdfunding campaign. The case studies also outline some of the challenges and opportunities that arise when business startups are looking to gain financing through crowdfunding. In this small group discussion, consider the following questions:
A. Which players in traditional funding do you think are most vulnerable to being disrupted by crowdfunders?
B. Considering the advantages and disadvantages of crowdfunding - from the perspectives of both the entrepreneur and the investor - to what extent do you think crowdfunding will replace traditional sources of funding?
C. Which types of entrepreneurs will most benefit from crowdfunding?
