In the resource by Murray and Murray (2007), the authors presented three case studies wherein Family Therapists may face ethical issues when working with clients who have been prescribed psychotropic medications. Chose one of the case studies from the article for the Case Study 1: Ms. Brown.
After careful consideration of the learning materials for this week, upload a discussion that addresses the following prompts in your response regarding ethical issues in psychopharmacology.
• Briefly, introduce your case and the ethical issues pertaining to the case.
• Reflect on three viewpoints on perspectives on psychotropic medications. Which one of the viewpoints do you identify with the most? Do you believe this has changed over this course or does it consistently reflect your perspective?
• Consider the commentary following your selected case study. Discuss two of the ethical standards/issues presented in your case by incorporating your own ideas on how you will prepare yourself to address ethical challenges related to psychopharmacology.
