Barber describes several issues as significant in the evolution of McWorld: global capitalism and the erosion of national boundaries, the illusion of autarky, the transition from hard to soft goods and manufacturing to service, and the infotainment sector. Which of these do you believe was most influential in the development of McWorld? Have any of these increased or decreased in influence since Barber first wrote the book?
