Problem: Considering nonverbal codes, think back to different intercultural interactions that you've had in your life. What nonverbal codes were used (actions, gestures, facial expressions, etc.)? Which, if any, nonverbal codes used do you think are universal? Why do you think this? Do you think understanding which nonverbal codes are universal can help one more successfully engage in intercultural communication? Why or why not?
