Investments in developing countries give the West an extra leverage. Any particular evidence of an increase in equality as a consequence of globalization is more than welcome, especially from China, Brazil and countries that entered the EU since 1980. You could discuss historically the changes that occurred in the gender equality index as a result of globalization.
You could also discuss the ways in which gender equality is promoted by workers (including women) that come from developing countries to work in industrialized states?
