Problem
As we read in resources, evidence of sex differences occurs across most areas of the human experience. Researchers have concluded that differences that occur at or shortly after birth indicate a biological cause and those that do not occur until later in life are more likely to be learned gender differences. Most differences seem to be sex-related.
With this in mind, consider the impact of nature vs nature and our biology vs environment. Which findings from the research in the articles did you find the most surprising? Which gender differences did not surprise you? Why? Elaborate on this. Also consider: what biases do you think might be present in gender identity development research that might make it difficult to have a fully unbiased study?
