In the beginning of 2020, the United States had the first cases of SARS-CoV-2 infection that leads to COVID-19. Since then, we have felt the health impact on us and our loved ones with more than 600,00 fatality so far. The world is still struggling to contain this disease where the virus fights back with different strains including the recent delta variant.

Alabama and Georgia has the lowest COVID-19 vaccination roll out (30% in Alabama and 33% in Georgia) comparing with other Eastern states, for example Vermont (62%), New York (70%), Massachusetts (58%) and New Jersey (53%). What are some potential reasons for the lower roll out in Alabama and Georgia? Why? Suggest some of the responsibilities that health professionals play in improving COVID-19 vaccination roll out in the community?
