Describe the Child's Functional Emotional Development Which of the 6 "processes" does the child appear to be functioning when the behavior occurs? Explain why this might be the current process.

Does the behavior seem bottom-up or top-down?

Explain what factors make you think the behavior is more bottom-up or more top-down.

Pathways: Observe the child and indicate what you notice about their physiological state.

Describe the pathway that they tend to be in when you see the behavior you indicated. What are the clues?

Relationships:

Peers: Describe the quality of the child's relationship to peers.

Teacher/Caregiver: Reflect and describe the quality of your relationship to the child.

Parent/Caregiver: Describe the quality of the child's relationships to other adults, parents, etc.
