Whenever an error is detected a low-priority interrupt is

Question: Design an error-logging system for an error-detecting and -correcting memory. Whenever an error is detected, a low-priority interrupt is generated by the error detection circuit, and the operating system then makes a note of the location of the word in error and the bit in error. Running statistics of error locations are recorded so that systematic errors can be located and the faulty chip replaced. Design the hardware and software needed to carry out this function.
