When you read a story, you are getting that story from a certain point of view. Usually a narrator will tell the happenings and events of the story as he/she experienced them. However, there is always another point of view.

In this essay (5-6 paragraphs), you will choose one of the stories below, and you will rewrite one scene from that story, telling what happened from another character's point of view.

In order to make this work, you have to get inside the character's head. How does that character think? feel? react to things? How does that character interact with others? Use the clues from the text to help you develop a profile of the character. You can be creative, but anything you include in your essay must fit the character and the text.
