When water flows at 100 m3hr the pressure gauge immediately

A basket strainer is installed in a 15-cm diameter pipe. Pressure gauges are installed immediately upstream and downstream of the basket strainer. When water flows at 100 m3/hr, the pressure gauge immediately upstream of the basket strainer measures 1 bar.

a. When the basket strainer is clean, the pressure immediately downstream measures 0.9 bar. Calculate the local loss coefficient of the clean basket strainer.

b. When the pressure drops across the basket strainer by half (i.e., to 0.5 bar after the strainer) at the 100 m3/hr flow rate, it is removed for cleaning. What is the local loss coefficient of the basket strainer at this point?
