When intracellular accumulations occur

Problem: Please respond to discussion:

Intracellular accumulations occur when an excessive amount of a substance is unable to be released from the cell (Norris, T. L., 2020). This can occur with injury and cellular aging. During menopause cellular aging impacts the metabolism of fat. Lipid and protein complexes can accumulate in tissue cells leading to build up in the areas such as the liver, heart and tissues. It's important to educate the patient on a healthy diet and body weight to limit cardiovascular risks. Encouraging the patient to consume nutrient dense foods, exercise for oxygenation and limit stress will reduce damaged cells that may lead to cancer and neurodegenerative diseases such as Parkinson's.
