When 6 boys were admitted & 6 girls left the percentage of boys increased from 60% to 75%. Find the original no. of boys and girls in the class.
Ans: Let the no. of Boys be x
Girls be y
Total = x + y
APQ:
x/x + y = 60/100 ---------------(1)
x + 6/( x + 6)( y - 6) = 75/100
On solving we get,
x = 24 and y = 16.
