The main steps involved in preparing any type of speech include the following:

vii. Deliver Your Speech

Step II: Prepare an introduction speech.

In a one-page outline, consider the following as you prepare your speech:

i. Brainstorm what your fellow classmates might find interesting about you for this introduction speech. Consider family history, stories about your childhood, significant life events, or your accomplishments.

ii. Narrow your ideas down to a specific topic, theme, or anecdote. List the specific topic or title for your speech.

iii. When locating supporting materials for your introduction speech, think about any visual aids that may support your delivery.

iv. Remember to think about how you will open and close your introduction speech. Include those notes in your outline.

Format your homework according to the following formatting requirements:

i) The answer should be typed, using Times New Roman font (size 12), double spaced, with one-inch margins on all sides.

ii) The response also includes a cover page containing the title of the homework, the student's name, the course title, and the date. The cover page is not included in the required page length.

iii) Also include a reference page. The Citations and references must follow APA format. The reference page is not included in the required page length.
