If you read "Under a Cruel Star," answer and discuss the following question: Heda Kovaly endured not one but two of the most violent ideologies of the 20th century: a Czech/Jewish survivor of Hitler's Holocaust, her husband then executed on trumped-up charges by Stalin's minions. In this section of her life story, what do you think she is trying to say about the dangers of ideology (a strong, unquestioning belief system that controls how you interpret the world)?
