Credentials from AHIMA and Their importance
The Certified Documentation Improvement Practitioner (CDIP) is a new credential from AHIMA. The first exam was given for this credential in October 2011. In addition to HIM Professionals the exam is open to other health care professionals such as RN's, MD's who have two years of experience in clinical documentation. Predict the next credential that AHIMA will develop and offer based on the future needs of health care and the HIM industry.
