If you were a school psychologist in a private school that has a population of only students with psychiatric disorders, what would you do if one of your students was in an emotional crisis and was a threat to themselves along with their peers. The parent does not want the school to use restraints but they are becoming extremely destructive in the classroom. What would you try to do to deescalate the student and keep other students safe?
