I have a specific question I need help with. In response to my answer that I provided about 923 Hyde Park, she said to me, "Massachusetts makes our analysis a bit easier. Use the link that was provided in the question to the corporate database maintained by the Secretary of the Commonwealth and see what it says about who can sign real estate documents"
(This is what the discussion was over) You are a real estate paralegal asked to do research on an entity named 923 Hyde Park LLC, which the attorney for whom you work thinks may be registered in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts, but she has no idea what it's true status is. You are asked to do some research, including searching the website of the Secretary of the Commonwealth, Corporate Division, and provide the attorney with information about how best to advise one of the members of the business. This client has asked whether, after naming his girlfriend as treasurer of the business entity, he could allow her to sign documents conveying a parcel of property owned by the LLC to a buyer. What would you advise the attorney?
