What would it look like employing any of the key concepts

Problem

Much of what we discussed this semester centered around Africana Studies as a discipline. As a movement. As a source for answers in the troubling times in which we are living today. This question is meant to gauge where you started as a social, political and intellectual being at the beginning of the semester and how you have evolved or changed as a result of the course. In other words, using the question of what Africana Studies as a discipline can do, tell us what you have learned this semester. Another way to approach this question is to consider the fact that we are in the midst of a social movement now-much like the Civil Rights and Black Power movements we learned about in class. What does today's "Civil Rights Movement" look like? Is it Black Lives Matter? Is it King's recently revived "Poor People's Movement"? Considering everything we have learned this semester, what kind of social movement is needed (in your opinion) and what would it look like employing any of the "key concepts" we have learned emerging from our discussions about Africana Studies.
