Assignment:
Write (about 200 words): what would it have been like to have lived in the Middle Ages and have walked up those steps to that church, and have looked at that sculpture as you walked into that church every day (remember, it was brightly painted, and so the scene of the torture: of Hell would have been really frightening) and of course you would have totally believed in the Last Judgment and that you would go to Hell for your sins if you didn't repent).
