Discussion: Psychological Profiling
• Do the significant amount of mistakes occurring in profiling, and the diversion of valuable resources during the course of the investigation due to these mistakes, outweigh the benefits obtained by utilizing a criminal profiler? Why or why not?
• What would be the consequences to the individual who is identified as a threat or risk of school violence/workplace violence/stalker/etc.? Can there be a balance between that label and the safety of others?
