What would be added by including video cameras?
Television cameras should be allowed in the Supreme Court. Doing so would increase public access to the court's proceedings and improve transparency while also helping to keep the justices more accountable for their decisions. Furthermore, the media may choose to sensationalize certain proceedings regardless of whether or not cameras are present, and the justices can take steps to ensure that their deliberations remain private. Allowing television cameras in the Supreme Court would ultimately benefit the public by giving them greater access to its proceedings.
