Three year old Oliviia frequently takes other children's toys from them, showing little concern for their feelings, even when they cry. When she does this, her mother tells her to "imagine how other kids feel when they lose their toys." Use your understanding of cognitive development to explain Olivia's "antisocial" behavior. Include in your response why it is unlikely that her mother's comment will influence her behavior, and what would be a better suggestion to encourage Olivia to stop behaving this way. Also, include in your response how parenting style and form of attachment may play a role in encouraging Olivia to stop her behavior.
