How can I provide a case study for the topic "How to resolve conflicts through effective communication" The case study is involving two of my coworkers from the dental office. The situation was that one of my coworkers didn't show up to work for being sick. The other coworker got upset for taking care of all of her patients that day. When both of them met at work the next day they got into conflict with each other. Regarding this situation, I as having more experience at work and getting along with both of them, I wanted to be the mediator and was trying to solve the problem. What will be the right thing to do in order to solve this problem?
I. How can I provide an introduction outlining the conflict between the two colleagues? How can this introduction explain the situation and why is the conflict occurring? What will be the goal of the mediation session which is to come up with a solution that is agreeable to both parties.
II. What will be the purpose of this chosen topic where I need to make sure that both parties are heard, they understand each other's point of view and both parties can come to an agreement.
III. How can I gather the information since I am the mediator? How can I use the information I know to come up with a conflict resolution procedure? What techniques can I use to settle their issues and allow them to begin collaborating more effectively? How can I help my two colleagues come to an understanding and begin working together in a more positive and productive manner?
