Problem

A. Describe two critical reflection methods you have used or experienced to reflect on educator' practice. Discuss how effective you found them and share why you think educators engage regularly in critical reflection.

B. Reflect on how you observed children's behaviours today and collaborated with colleagues about particular children.

a. What were you mindful of in your communication? Give one.

b. Was your communication style inclusive? If 'yes' give an example of how you demonstrated this and how you believe it demonstrated inclusive practice. If 'no' give an example of what you said and describe what was not inclusive about it.

c. What lens were you observing the child through - (i) strengths-focused or (ii) problem-focused lens? (There is no right answer, authenticity and awareness is the aim.) Briefly discuss reasons that you have a tendency to use one or other lens.

C. Critically reflect on how you navigated having to make professional judgements about the focus children in your assessment tasks, while still maintaining and showing respect for their individuality and diversity. Describe how you managed these 'opposing' needs.

D. Reflect on your knowledge of current and emerging theories on how best to develop children's cooperative behaviour. Briefly discuss how these may have been modelled or not by educators to guide children's behaviour today. Give your perspective on 'best' practice in developing children's cooperative behaviour, referring to a recent example.
