Homework: Profiles in Faith
This homework will help put a "face" to religions in the modern world. Choose religious leaders or teachers from two different faiths. Then compare and contrast their lives and beliefs. Each leader must be from one of the major world religions that you study in this course (Indigenous Faiths, Hinduism, Buddhism, Daoism, Confucianism, Shinto, Judaism, Christianity, Islam, or Sikhism) and the two cannot be from the same major religion. Questions to consider for your biographies:
I. What were their lives like growing up?
II. How did they become a teacher or leader of their faith?
III. What are their major religious beliefs?
IV. What are their challenges and/or concerns for their faith in modern times?
Format your homework according to the give formatting requirements:
1. The answer must be double spaced, typed, using Times New Roman font (size 12), with one-inch margins on all sides.
2. The response also includes a cover page containing the title of the homework, the course title, the student's name, and the date. The cover page is not included in the required page length.
3. Also include a reference page. The references and Citations should follow APA format. The reference page is not included in the required page length.
