In this discussion, I'd like for you to discuss the manner in which European Immigration and assimilation occurred in the U.S. as described in our chapter. What was your biggest takeaway? How do you feel the manner in which various ethnicities from Europe eventually assimilating helped to shape some identifications/classifications on race in the U.S.? What were some of the other outcomes of this process? Going back to chapter 1's opening quotes, how does European immigration speak to how Jennifer identifies herself?
