Question 1. With regard to the Protestant Reformation, in what ways was Martin Luther a conservative thinker compared to others such as Calvin or the Anabaptists? Could the reform have begun a century prior? Why or Why not?

Question 2. What does it mean for a war to be just, according to Just War theory? Do you believe that we as a nation must justify all of our military actions through some sort of moral code, or is it simply a matter of "might makes right"? To what extent do you believe that our major military endeavors over the past 50 years have been justified and therefore moral (Vietnam, the first Iraq War in 1990, the second Iraq war in 2003, and Afghanistan, for example). What do you think should be done bout Russia's invasion of the Crimean Peninsula, or Iran's alleged attempts to establish nuclear weapon?
