An encapsulated bacterium was inoculated in 2ml nutrient broth tubes and incubated for 24 hours. The next day bacteria from each tube were injected into 2 experimental animals. One animal died and the other remained alive. Provide possible explanation.
If the encapsulated bacterium was inoculated in 2ml nutrient broth containing mutagenic substance and then incubated for 24 hours followed by isolation of bacteria on blood agar then injecting the bacterial suspension into another healthy animal do you expect the effect on the animal is more dangerous or not, explain?
