Your initial response to the Discussion topic should be a minimum of 200 words.
Data can be collected in many different ways; surveys, interviews, observation, experiments and testing, or other methods. Health institutions might collect data on the number of patients who are readmitted to their facility, or how many hospital-acquired infections have occurred over the course of a year. This gives them the opportunity to see where problems exist so they can address them properly. Describe a time when you collected data; this could have been for work, school or another organization you are involved with. What was the purpose of collecting the data? What was the organization trying to find out by collecting the data?
