When building a classroom library, it is important to think about what books will inspire and engage your students. It could be popular authors, new trends online, or even just silly stories!
• What was a text that you were highly engaged with, or made a lasting impact on you when you were little (preschool - grade 3}. (THINK: children's books/picture books]. Why?
• What was a text that you were highly engaged with, or made a lasting impact on you when you were younger {grade 4-7]. (THINK: middle grade books! early chapter books). Why?
• Did you have a favorite author or series of books that inspired you to read more? Why? If not, what would have helped you become more engaged in reading now knowing some of the significance and strategies?
