• What was a significant issue that impacted a large bank, just about a couple weeks ago (think about California) especially in the United States? What was the issue that effectively caused that bank/financial institution to catastrophically fail, in a mater of about 48 hours? Feel free to discuss these issues with respect to any other major country, in addition to or instead of the United States.
• List any three quantitative or qualitative monetary policy tools used by regulators in the United States (or any other major country) to stem wider panic, aimed primarily at supporting banking and the financial system. Then, briefly discuss any one of these measures, in your own words. What would you have done (implemented) differently, with respect to the monetary policy tool (you selected to discuss) and why?
