What voltage was used to produce white light

Assignment task: Please answer in full sentences

1. While GaP is an indirect bandgap semiconductor, it can still be found as the chief component in some select LEDs. Based on your results, what color would you expect a GaP LED to emit? Would you expect it to have a brighter or dimmer peak emission intensity than a direct bandgap material with the same bandgap energy?

2. Would you expect your indirect bandgap semiconductor's light transmission to increase, decrease, or stay the same at your identified bandgap wavelength with an increase in temperature? Why?

3. Would you expect transmission measurements like these to work better, worse, or the same for a thinner GaP sample? What about for a thicker GaP sample? Why? Would you expect there to be a point where it does not work at all? Why or why not?

4. What voltage was used to produce white light? How does this compare to the applied voltages of the other colours? What can you conclude about how white light is produced within an LED? You may need to research properties of white lights, and how to produce white light.

5. Knowing that LEDs
