Answer both questions in essay format with an introduction and a conclusion. The responses should be about 3 pages in length, typed, double-spaced with Times New Roman font and one-inch margins on all sides. It does not need to conduct any additional research.
1. Both objectivist and constructionist approaches are important for analyzing social problems. However, they address very different questions. For your essay, discuss some of the ways you would analyze the social problem of marijuana use as both an objectivist and a constructionist. What types of questions would you ask from each perspective? How would you answer them? Be sure to provide a clear definition for both approaches in your response.
2. Is the US' approach to eliminating illicit drug use effective or does it create more social problems? Explain why or why not providing specific examples.
