INTERNET ACTIVITIES - Much debate surrounds the fairness and effectiveness of eyewitness identification in police lineups. Go to Eyewitness Identification Research Laboratory At the University of Texas at El Paso and read the summary of the whitepaper regarding evaluating lineup fairness. What two aspects of lineup fairness should investigators consider? How similar to one another should the members of the lineup be?

INTERNET ACTIVITIES -
1. The policies of larger law enforcement agencies often include specific guidance on when it is mandatory for an officer to write an incident report. Search the Internet for U.S. police departments' policies on this subject, and develop a list of five mandatory circumstances for which officers must write a report.
2. Search the Internet to find articles on how to write an effective police report. Develop a list of seven suggestions you found in various articles.
