Training and development can be a challenge in domestic and international settings. When working with employees abroad, the training programs become that much more of a challenge for both the home and host country.
Consider this: If you were sending three senior engineers to live in Asia for 16 months, what training is necessary pre-departure, during the assignment, and upon return?
Who should be responsible for following up to ensure these expats are receiving the necessary training and development to meet expected performance standards and ensure success of their assignments?
a) What elements are important to include in the design of a training and development module for expatriates?
