Do you think a man-made or natural interventions will better reduce the effects of climate change?
In chapter six of The Sixth Extinction, we learned about the effects of climate change and global warming on the earth. According to Kolbert, 365 billion metric tons of carbon have been added into the atmosphere since the start of the industrial revolution. This total does not include the effects of deforestation. With that in mind, do you the best solution to this crisis are more natural interventions (such as planting more trees, etc.), or do you think man-made technology (such as solar panels) are more effective? In the future, what technology could be developed that could help to slow the damage from climate change?
