Problem: A company currently uses a qualitative approach to forecast its demand for labour in which multiple experts meet in a room and interactively discuss the demand for labour for the next period. An HR manager from the company is concerned that the more extroverted experts are dominating the discussion, whereas the introverted experts find it more difficult to participate. The HR manager believes that the issue can best be dealt with by limiting the direct interaction and open discussion among the experts, while allowing multiple experts to contribute to the forecast.
