Assessment Element: Individual Learning Miscellany

1. Bring to each class of about 100 - 250 words in a learning note, concerning at least one of the following

- An example from your work, imagination, the media, literature or internet connected to an issue raised in the previous class.
- A connection from other modules or learning connected with an issue dealt in the previous class.
- Any plans you might have for learning more about an issue that has been dealt with in the modules
- Any other critical reflections on learning in the module

2. Submit a ‘Learning Miscellany' 1800 words in total.

Notes

1. The final learning miscellany should have a brief introduction and conclusion section and about 5 other sections dealing with about 5 of what you regard as the best ‘learning items' from your work relevant to the module during the year.

2. The writing may, where appropriate, be more personal at times that required in the other assignments but should always be clear, concise and critically reflective. The usual citation and referencing is required.

3. A good learning miscellany will include items that show achievement of the learning objectives of the module.

4. The following questions that might be useful to ask yourself that might help if you are having difficulty think about the tasks involved in this assessment might include:

What surprised me most about this module? What was I most proud of in my work for this module? What was the worst / best time during the module? What was the most /least satisfying time during this module? What of the claims that I can across in the module did I find most surprising/ inspiring / believable /unbelievable /offensive /reassuring?
