At the time of this course, there is a critical Nursing shortage across Canada, including in Ontario.
As nurses entering the profession at this time it is important for you to consider your own practice and how you will maintain safety in your practice considering this.
You will choose one of the course concepts and apply those to the Nursing shortage.
Paper should explore:
• Why this is an issue?
• What has previously been done to resolve this issue, applying the chosen course concepts
• Why did that work or not work?
• What suggestions do you have to resolve this issue?
• Can you compare those solutions to how this situation might have been dealt with in your own country?
Finally, from the CNO entry to practice competencies for Registered Nurses, chooseTWO of the expected competencies for CLINICIAN. Discusshow will you ensure you are meeting those competencies and providing safe care? How will you recognize if the care situation you are in is not safe? Based on the CNO standards what would you do if you are in that situation?
