Problem
I. Science and medicine continued to bring change in the late 19th century. What were the new ideas/discoveries in this period and changes they brought in the fields of medicine, evolution, physics, and positivism? How were some of the controversial? As always, just take and try to explain 1 of these fields and use specific examples.
II. Quite simply, what specifically was different about the New Imperialism? What new areas did European countries begin to assert control over? Explain the idea of the "White Man's Burden" that was used to justify these new empires and where it came from. Bring up and explain some of the key events and conflicts this produced.
