Assignment: Personal Internet Use at Work
Instructions - Whether you work in a health clinic, a legal office, a veterinary clinic or any other office environment, you will most likely be provided with a company computer or another company device with Internet access. Should employees be able to use those devices for online shopping, personal message, personal work, and listening to music or playing games?
Read the Communication Workshop: Whose Computer or Blackberry or iPhone Is it, Anyway? on page 115 in your textbook.
Write a one-two page response to the Communication Workshop. Answer some or all of the following questions in your response:
1. Should full personal use of work equipment be allowed?
2. Should employees be allowed to access the Internet for personal use if they use their own personal e-mail accounts?
