Problem
Henry is a young adult who is working in a supported employment situation. He sorts and helps to fill orders in a warehouse. He recently started working in a new area and is struggling with keeping up with the orders. His anxiety level has increased. His job coach is initially confused since most of the tasks he needs are similar to his past job experience. His job is to use a hand-held scanner and place scanned items in labeled bins. A consultant familiar with motor development observes and points out that in his previous job the items scanned were on a table, however in his current job the items arrive at Henry's station by conveyor belt and are moving as he tries to scan them. This new job task requires him to prejudge each item's location as he attempts to scan it. This change requires an increased use of feedforward information, which Henry struggles with.
