Psychology Discussion Requirements
1. You are required to have 3 posts in each discussion and all three posts must be made on three separate days. The first post is the initial response to the question that appropriately and completely addresses the topic. It is best to post it at the beginning of the week. The remaining two posts are responses to the initial posts of two different classmates or the instructor. The first response to a classmate is due Saturday at 11:59 p.m. (EST) and the second response to a classmate or the instructor is due on Sunday at 11:59 p.m. (EST). If you do not post on three separate days you will lose points (20-point deduction). Posts are not accepted after the week closes on Sunday night.
2. All 3 of your posts must be in APA Format and must contain citations and a reference list. It is your ideas supported by research. Please refer to the APA PowerPoint in the Getting Started section of the classroom for information on proper formatting. There are Samples of APA Writing links and videos in the Getting Started area.
3. Your initial post must be a minimum of 300 words and each response must be a minimum of 200 words. Please double-check your word count.
4. Post your word count at the end of each post. There will be a 5-point deduction for each failure to provide a word count.
5. Please address fellow students and professors by name (Hello Sarah). Be professional, you can disagree, but do it in a professional manner. There will be a 5-point deduction for each failure to address the person you reply to by name.
6. Please use spell check and proper grammar. Points will be deducted for each spelling and grammatical error, up to 10 points for each post.
7. Your answers need to be based on your OWN research and your OWN Reading, DO NOT post a blank post to try to access other students' posts, this WILL result in a 40-point deduction on the first occurrence, and on a 2nd occurrence or more, it will result in a zero (0) on the discussion each time. This includes incomplete posts that do not answer all of the questions in the first post.
