2. Patients may exhibit a condition known as heart block. Incomplete (partial) heart block exists in two forms. In first-degree heart block, there is a delay in conduction between the atria and ventricles. In second- degree heart block, only some of the signals reach the ventricles. Complete (total) heart block exists when there is no conduction between the atria and the ventricles.
