Problem
On your first week on the job someone robs the gas station at 12 Main Street Cambridge Ontario and hits one of your employees Allison Patel who lives at 23 Manitou Drive Kitchener ON with a baseball bat, breaking your employees' arm when she tried to stop the robbery. The attending doctor was Dr. Kaur at Cambridge Memorial Hospital. There were no witnesses except for the video surveillance.
One of the orders provided by the Ministry of Labour was to create violence and harassment policy and program.
i. Write out a sample 'policy goal' as if you, the health and safety manager, were working with company president to write it out. Write sentences that would appear on the policy that the president would sign.
ii. Name 3 company titles that you would expect to have program responsibilities (i.e. its the obvious ones you have read about through this course), and list one expected responsibility by each title i.e. specifics are welcomed
iii. What section of Act requires a workplace violence assessment? Who must be advised according to the law?
