Terrorism Assignment
1. Devise your own definition of homegrown terrorism. Give your viewpoint on the potential threat that homegrown Islamic terrorism poses to the U.S. Provide a rationale for your response.
2. In your own words, describe a recent attack in the US and explain why it has or has not been labeled domestic terrorism.
3. As common knowledge suggests, there are many agencies directly involved in homeland security that are not part of the Department of Homeland Security (DHS). Examine one (1) agency that is not part of the DHS, but plays a direct role in homeland security. Hypothesize the key reasons why you believe the agency is not part of the DHS. Justify your response.
4. Alternatively, examine one (1) agency that is part of the DHS, but might do better as its own agency. Justify your response.
5. What roll does HR (Human Resource Activities) play in security policy? Be specific, and think a bit outside of the box here.
