Assignment task: Respiratory diseases are major causes of disability and death.  Some of the most disabling respiratory disorders are Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease (COPD), which includes emphysema as well as chronic bronchitis. Other diseases of respiratory system are asthma, tuberculosis, and lung cancer.  COPD and lung cancer are living proof of the devastating effects of tobacco smoke on the body.
