1. What role does corporate politics play in bad product design? Can you offer examples from your experiences or from the media?

2. Often, a great deal of expense goes into developing a new product. Sometimes the product is just before its time. Other times, it's ALMOST there -- but someone got some little thing wrong. Sometimes they're simply marketed to the wrong market. Can you think of examples of products that meet any of the above? (I actually think you've mentioned a couple already)

Alternatively, can you discuss - use textbook and lecture ideas -- methods for turning a lemon product into lemonade? Can we create systems, in other words, for turning bad products into good ones?
